Maritime Blue Strategic Action Plan
Since 2018, Maritime Blue has led the charge in positioning the Pacific Northwest as the nation’s most impactful, sustainable, and thriving Blue Economy. We have convened partners from industry, government, research institutions, investors, and community leaders to take action, advance shared goals, and prove that the innovation cluster model is a critical tool for creative, systems-level change. Annual Report
Each year, we publish an annual report detailing our accomplishments, funding, and membership for the previous fiscal year. The 2024-25 report covers the period July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025.

What we're working on now
Quiet Sound
Quiet Sound is a non-regulatory coalition whose goal is to better understand and reduce the cumulative effects of acoustic and physical disturbance from large commercial vessels (such as large oceangoing vessels, tugs, and public transit vessels) on Southern Resident killer whales (SRKW) throughout their range in Washington state.
Youth Maritime Career Launch
The Youth Maritime Career Launch (YMCL) is a three-month on-the-job training program designed to teach, shape & grow participants through internship participation in a company’s field of work, with aspirations leading program participants to entry-level career placement.
One Ocean Week Seattle
One Ocean Week Seattle is a region-wide, international gathering of ocean leaders, innovators, researchers, startups, policymakers, artists, educators, and communities to accelerate solutions for a sustainable, inclusive maritime future.
