We are pleased to publish our annual report detailing our accomplishments, funding, and membership for our last fiscal year. The 2024-25 report covers the period July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025.

Maritime Blue, on behalf of its Quiet Sound program, is accepting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from partners who can provide timely, accurate whale sighting data for our real-time maritime alert systems. This is a vital step in our work to protect Southern Resident killer whales in Washington State.

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON – (September 11, 2025) – Maritime Blue will host the inaugural One Ocean Week Seattle along the city’s waterfront from October 20-26, 2025.

Maritime Blue is seeking competitive proposals from qualified individuals or firms to serve as part of a pool of eligible Executives in Residence (EIRs) for our Blue Ventures programs.

Maritime Blue is seeking interest from individuals and entities to join the One Ocean Accelerator Connector Program, creating a pool of qualified and verified Ecosystem Connection Partners to support recruitment efforts.

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON – (April 3, 2025) – A new initiative facilitated by Washington Maritime Blue and with leadership from Port of Seattle, Northwest Seaport Alliance, Port of Tacoma, Washington Department of Commerce and the Consortium for Hydrogen and Renewably Generated E-fuels (CHARGE)—called the Sustainable Maritime Fuels Collaborative (SMF Collaborative), officially launched today. 

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON (March 28, 2025) — Washington Maritime Blue announces the launch of its 2025 Blue Ventures programs including cohorts for its flagship Blue Innovation Accelerator and regional incubators in Seattle and Tacoma. These three programs support founders and entrepreneurs at all stages of development, from ideation to investable venture-scale startups.

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON (March 13, 2025) — Washington Maritime Blue, in partnership with Meliorate Partners, proudly announces the launch of its fifth cohort of the Maritime Blue Innovation Accelerator, affectionately named The Fifth Wave. This four-month, mentor-driven accelerator program brings together founders from Washington, the broader region, and beyond to gain critical skills, connect with key resources, and scale their ocean-based innovations.

Maritime Blue is working to educate the public about how clean energy fueled shore power project, EV Charging Infrastructure, or clean port handling equipment could be eligible for federal tax credits. Funding for this program provided the Washington Department of Commerce.
